SECONDHAND SMOKE

Secondhand smoke is a mixture of 2 forms of smoke that come from burning tobacco:

Sidestream smoke: the smoke that comes from the end of a lighted cigarette, pipe or cigar.

Mainstream smoke: the smoke that is exhaled by a smoker.

Children and secondhand smoke

Children are particulary vulnerable to the effects of secondhand smoke because they are still developing physically, have higher breathing rates, and have little control over their indoor enviroments. Children exposed to high doses of secondhand smoke, run the greatest risk of experiencing damaging health effects.

THERE IS NO SAFE LEVEL OF SECONDHAND SMOKE.

SECONDHAND SMOKE KNOWS NO BOUNDARIES!

Secondhand smoke exposure causes an estimated 3,400 kung cancer deaths annually among adult non-smokers in the United States.
