Sunset Dental will be offering free oral exams during the month of March, to all spit tobacco users. Please contact Sunset Dental at 278-3609, by February 24th to schedule your appointment.

An oral cancer exam is painless and quick - it takes only a few minutes. Your regular dental check up is an excellent opportunity. This will include a thorough exam of the mouth tissues, if anything abnormal is found, you will be referred to your primary care provider for further evaluation.

At the age of 12 he started using Spit Tobacco. At the age of 26, he was diagnosed with cancer from his tobacco use. In 1989 he underwent his first of 4 major surgeries to remove the cancer. He lost 1/3 of his tongue, 1/2 of his jaw, 25% use of his right arm, and almost his life.

Pondera County Health Department can assist you if you are ready to quit using tobacco. "Quit Spit" kits are available at the Pondera County Health Department and at certain locations around town.
